Welcome to our site!
We are Lewisham Nexus Service , a local based non for profit Company and registered Charity working in the London Borough of Lewisham since 1993. Although keen to work in neighbouring boroughs, our focus will continue to be on providing local services. We believe that the people we support need us to fully understand the community within which they live and that the people who support them are linked into and have good knowledge of the resources available in their community.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission; at our last inspection in 2009 we were awarded three stars (Excellent). To access our inspection report please go to www.cqc.org.uk
Our aim, through the support we offer is to empower people to shape their own lives, providing opportunities for people to develop, take control of their own lives and improve their lifestyles.
Our services include:
- Supported Living
- Community Based Support Service
- A small community day service
- A Café that offers paid work , training and work experience to people with learning disabilities.
- All Star Trainers, a group of learning disabled trainers who deliver training to people with and without disabilities
Nexus supports people with a range of support needs, from the most independent to those that require significant support. We have particular strengths in supporting people with complex needs and significant reputations. We have clearly demonstrated over the years our ability and skill in supporting people with complex needs; successfully minimising the significant challenges that people present through offering well planned, individualised, consistent support, working in partnership with service users their families and other professionals.
